Constructivism was an artistic and architectural philosophy that originated in Russia beginning in 1913 by Vladimir Tatlin.
Join us for a lecture by Alena Georgobiani – a self-proclaimed Russian Art Nerd – for an informative talk about the movement’s origins between 1910 to 1930.

Body Parts by Stephen Hobbs

Visit Body Parts to see Stephen Hobbs’ artistic investigation of the body and mind in a state of rebuilding. Hobbs explores themes of recovery, renovation, materiality and mortality through repurposed prints, mixed-media sculptures, video and installation.

David Krut Projects has published 2 books on Stephen Hobbs in relation to his past exhibitions.

‘No Fusion’ published in 2017 is a unique flip book, combining picture fragments and words in an interplay of randomised ideas, expanding on the artists fascination with optical interplay and visual disruption. The catalogue, “Be Careful In The Working Radius,” was printed in 2013 alongside his exhibition of works printed in collaboration with the David Krut Workshop (DKW).

David Krut Workshop’s July/August print of the month commemorates the late David Koloane (1938 -2019).

The influential artist’s work looks with a lively and perceptive eye at the bustling urban environment with a particular focus on the complexities of the South African urban landscape.
