The shopping precinct, centred around our three shopping malls; The Firs, The Zone@Rosebank and Rosebank Mall, is looking especially beautiful with the Christmas decorations up and with hundreds of shops, as well as the Rosebank Art & Craft Market and the weekly Rosebank Sunday Market, Rosebank is the place to be this season to get all your festive shopping done.

Here’s a look at some great places in Rosebank to shop for gifts this year.

Books always make a great gift for children and adults of any age and the Rosebank Mall Exclusive Books has the biggest collection of all the latest titles to put under the Christmas tree this year.

For the best selection of Christmas decorations to bring some festive colour to your home, the pop-up Christmas Shop (level 3 opposite Foschini) is always a favourite.

After such a challenging year, everyone deserves a little time out at the salon. You can buy hair and beauty gift vouchers at Dream Nails, Carlton Hair, Sorbet or Sorbet Man.

On Sundays head to the rooftop (level 4) for the weekly Rosebank Sunday Market where there is a brilliant selection of small owner-run stalls selling unique gifts, and on the last two Sundays of the month one of Joburg’s biggest car boot sales.

Save the date for a special Christmas edition of the market on Sunday December 6 with carol singing and lots of free entertainment and activities for kids.

Rosebank Art & Craft Market

Next to the entrance to Rosebank Mall on Cradock Avenue (opposite the Christmas tree) is the Rosebank Art & Craft Market, one of the biggest craft markets in the country.

Make sure to head downstairs to the lower level where you can find more than 100 different stalls selling the biggest collection of handmade items ranging from impressive beaded sculptures and wooden carved figurines to paintings, hand-woven baskets, ceramics, leatherware, jewellery, colourful African fabrics and bright Afrochic clothing. Many of the traders are also able to make custom designs and run under the motto ‘This is Africa. We Bargain’ you will always been able to get a good deal.
