As part of their annual #jacarandainyourpocket 2023 event series, Johannesburg In Your Pocket City Guides organised a social ride on Sunday, 29 October in collaboration with Banditz Bicycle Club and the Rosebank Management District. The event was supported by Oxford Parks and Young Urbanists as part of the new #GoRosebank initiative, which aims to create a more accessible, walkable, and bike-friendly district. 

Starting at Voco Rosebank with sponsored coffee and pastry, participants took to the streets of Rosebank and neighbouring suburbs exploring Joburg’s best jacaranda-lined streets. Crews that joined included the Girls on Bikes, Street Friends, and Young Urbanists. The group numbered around 50. Here’s a look at the event highlights.
